The management reserves the right to close the establishment, according to the weather conditions.
ATTENTION
Visits to Gruta das Torres will resume on 19 July 2026, with the following tour options:
1. Extended Cave Tour
A more comprehensive exploration of the cave, providing visitors with a complete experience of its interior.
- Frequency: One tour per day
- Starting time: 10:15 am
- Maximum capacity: 15 participants
- Price: The applicable admission fees set out in Ordinance No. 53/2022 of 1 July, as amended.
2. Short Tour
A guided walk to the end of the boardwalk, accompanied by a brief introduction to the cave and its main features of interest.
- Frequency: Four tours per day, in the afternoon
- Maximum duration: 1 hour per tour. This includes the introductory film, visitor equipment fitting before entering the cave, the guided tour itself, and the return of the equipment at the end of the visit
- Maximum capacity: 20 participants
- Price: 50% of the applicable admission fee established under Ordinance No. 53/2022 of 1 July, as amended
Tours will normally be conducted in Portuguese. Exceptionally, where the majority of participants are foreign visitors, the tour will be conducted in English.
During the initial implementation phase of this new tour model, the online ticketing system will be temporarily unavailable while it is being updated to incorporate the new tour options and the corresponding pricing.

Child. (5 - 6 ) : Free
Junior (7 - 14 ) : € 5.00
Adult (15 - 64 ) : € 10.00
Senior ( > 65 ): € 5.00
Resident of the Azores* : Free
The ticket includes individual safety equipment: helmet (with hygienic cap) and individual illumination equipment (hand flashlight).
*Upon presentation of the Citizen Card.
Children up to 12 years of age must be accompanied by an individual of legal age during the visit and must walk on their own (not being carried on the lap or in backpacks).
People with disability or noticeable impairment legally recognized must contact the environmental centre directly.
