Lagoa de Santiago

Located next to the Cerrado das Freiras Viewpoint, here you can contemplate the beauty of Lagoa de Santiago (lagoon), as well as the surrounding area, occupied primarily by plantations of Cryptomeria japonica. Although this species is dominant, many elements of the natural vegetation can still be found, such as Morella faya and Laurus azorica, among others.
