Contemplation zone of Planalto Central

From this viewpoint, you can observe the Planalto Central (central plateau) that, with about 3933 hectares, presents a high diversity of ecosystems, habitats and species with nature conservation interest, which goes from sea level, at the west, to the central zone of the island.

You can also see a humanized landscape, with agricultural activities and the creation of cattle, alternating with wetlands. Here, there is a sign with information about the Planalto Central e Costa Noroeste Protected Area for the Management of Habitats or Species.
