Inserted in the Planalto Central e Costa Noroeste Protected Area for the Management of Habitats or Species, one can observe the colonization process of the lava fields by coastal woodlands of Tree Heath (Erica azorica).

The most abundant seabird in the Azores, the Cory’s shearwater (Calonectris borealis), finds in these sea-cliffs the perfect habitat for breeding. Contemplate the ocean where one can see Graciosa island.
