Serra de Santa Bárbara Interpretation Centre

Serra de Santa Bárbara Interpretation Centre (CISSB) aims to be the starting point for understanding the natural heritage of Terceira Nature Park.

Here, visitors experience the geomorphological process of the island’s formation and evolution and its relation to areas of high interest in terms of bio and geodiversity.

Visitors also have the opportunity to "travel" to the past to understand the influence of human interaction with the environment, emphasising the use, throughout centuries, of the areas that currently are part of the Park.

The Centre also provides support information to visit and discover the Nature Park.
