Terra Alta

This viewpoint is located in the Ribeirinha parish, at the highest point of the sea-cliff, 415 metres above sea level, being also integrated into the Terra Alta Protected Area for the Management of Habitats or Species.

It offers a panoramic view of the island of São Jorge and the Canal Pico – São Jorge (water channel) and, with favourable weather conditions, one can see Terceira, at the northeast of São Jorge, and the Pico Mountain, at the west of this viewpoint.
