Reserva Florestal de Recreio da Prainha (forest reserve)

This viewpoint offers a broad view that extends over the sea, ranging from the Baía de Canas (bay) and the Ponta do Mistério to the island of São Jorge. 

The Ponta do Mistério (with its vineyard plots hidden under dense vegetation) hosts the island’s largest colony of Larus michahellis atlantis and is also a nesting area of Calonectris borealis.
