Moinho do Frade

This is the viewpoint of excellence of the Lajido da Criação Velha and is considered a Built Heritage, being located on the Cultura da Vinha - Zona Oeste Protected Landscape Area. 

It offers panoramic views of the tracery plots of the Vineyard Culture Landscape, marked by the basalt stones’ blackness. From this windmill, the Canal Pico – Faial (water channel) and the Pico Mountain are also observable.
