Protected Area for the Management of Habitats or Species

With 89 hectares, this protected area consists of coastline from the seashore up to the edge of the sea-cliffs, which reach an altitude of 50 metres.
The main habitats of this area are endemic Macaronesian woodlands and sea-cliffs with vivacious vegetation of the Macaronesian coasts. In terms of birds, this area is particularly important for the Puffinus lherminieri baroli and the Calonectris borealis.
This protected area is also an Important Bird and Biodiversity Area (IBA) of the BirdLife International organization.
