Ilhéu de Maria Vaz

From this viewpoint, localized in the Costa Nordeste Protected Area for the Management of Habitats or Species, you can observe the Ilhéu de Maria Vaz (islet), also known as Ilhéu da Gadelha, that constitutes a Nature Reserve. 

It is the biggest islet of the island, with 9.79 hectares, is covered mainly by endemic vegetation and very frequented by seabirds, from which stands out, in greater quantity, the Larus michahellis atlantis.
