From this viewpoint, you can observe the alignment of cones of the Capelo Peninsula, resulting from a sequence of basaltic eruptions along a fissure located west of the Caldeira (caldera) that extends to the Capelinhos Volcano in the approximate direction east-west, stretching to the sea.
