With 99 hectares, this protected area includes coastal zones that, given their geological formation and location, gather natural conditions of interest for the development of particular habitats for fauna and flora.
In this coastal area are observable some birds such as the Calonectris borealis, the Sterna hirundo, the Columba palumbus azorica and the Puffinus lherminieri baroli. Regarding flora, stand out the presence of Erica azorica, Picconia azorica, Spergularia azorica and Myosotis maritima.
