Cabeço do Fogo
Protected Area for the Management of Habitats or Species
Cabeço do Fogo has a 27 hectares area and belongs to the Capelo Volcanic Complex.
This area consists of some patches of native vegetation, Macaronesian woodlands, Laurel Forest and Juniperus brevifolia forests. Moreover, it is an extremely important zone for the nesting of the species Columba palumbus azorica.
