Pedreira da Tia Raulinha

This small viewpoint, situated on the side of the Regional Road, offers a superb view of the Baía da Maia Protected Landscape Area. From here, you can admire a landscape that highlights the harmonious interplay between natural processes and human activity over time.

In the bay, the traditional terraced vineyards stand out, built with basalt stone walls, where the ‘uva-de-cheiro’ grape is still carefully cultivated today, a defining feature of Maia’s viticulture. In contrast, the natural shallows of Maia, shaped by coastal dynamics, reveal the landscape's geological and ecological features, creating a unique setting of great heritage value.
