6th Natural Fibres Festival

The Natural Fibres Festival is back at the Antigo Pomar das Caldeiras das Lagoa das Furnas.

This event is dedicated to the preservation, promotion and innovation of regional handicrafts that use natural fibres as raw material. Throughout the first weekend of August, in addition to the exhibition of large wicker pieces, there will be workshops run by local artisans on making small pieces out of wicker, New Zealand Flax leaf and corn leaves, as well as making postcards using donkey manure fibres and natural pigments.
