LIFE BEETLES takes part in the XII European Congress of Entomology
Dec. 28, 2023
The LIFE BEETLES project took part in the XII European Congress of Entomology (ECE), which took place in Greece.
The first ECE, which dates back to the late 1970s, aims to bring together researchers, academics and policymakers from across Europe, providing an opportunity to share information and communicate scientific research results on a wide range of entomology-related topics.
The programme also included sessions dedicated to nature conservation, where LIFE BEETLES, promoted by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change, was represented in a lecture to present the work being carried out in the Azores on behalf of three beetles endemic to the islands of Terceira, Pico and Flores.
This year's congress, attended by around 900 people, was the ideal place to network and interact with other projects and researchers, establishing the starting point for future collaborations and innovations in nature conservation in the field of entomology.
