Azores Government presents Action Plan for Sustainable Tourism in the Lands of Priolo

The Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change, through the Regional Directorate for the Environment and Climate Change, will hold the 3rd Forum for the Renewal of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism in the Lands of Priolo (CETS), at the Furnas Social and Parish Centre, in the municipality of Povoação, on 28 November, starting at 17h30.

During this event, the CETS Action Plan for the 2024-2028 period will be presented, which includes a set of actions resulting from reviewing and redefining the Sustainable Tourism Development Strategy in the Lands of Priolo.

This Action Plan includes contributions from various departments of this Regional Secretariat, which is leading the process through the Regional Directorate for the Environment and Climate Change, as well as from partner organisations, namely the Regional Directorate for Tourism, the Regional Directorate for Forest Resources, Nordeste City Council, Povoação City Council, the Portuguese Society for the Study of Birds, the Azores Geopark Association and the Azores Microbial Observatory.

The Regional Secretariat invites all local organisations and interested citizens to participate in the Forum, including a tasting of products from the Lands of Priolo.
