Azorean Peatlands Seminar

On 17 November, the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change will host the Azorean Peatlands Seminar at the Auditorium of the University of the Azores in Angra do Heroísmo.

This event aims to present the work carried out over the last two years on improving knowledge of the location and conservation status of organic soils and peatlands and monitoring the carbon stock in the Azores, as part of the project “Assessment of peat biomass per hectare and installation of permanent plots”, 100 % funded by REACT EU and coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change.
