LIFE VIDALIA Final Conference

LIFE SNAILS was represented by its manager at the LIFE VIDALIA Final Conference on 26 April at the João José da Graça Public Library in Horta.

The conference had a very diverse panel, with the presence of LIFE IP NATURA, LIFE BEETLES and LIFE SEEDFORCE, Frank Vassen (Team Leader in Nature Unit Env.D3 in the General Directorate for the Environment of the European Commission) and LIFE DUNAS.

Topics such as the strengthening and conservation of flora species in the Natura 2000 Network, strategies and tools for the control/eradication of invasive alien species (the common denominator for all LIFE projects in the Azores), awareness-raising in civil society and volunteering in direct and indirect conservation actions were addressed.
