LIFE IP CLIMAZ participates in the 15th Regional Meeting on Environmental Education

The 15th Regional Meeting on Environmental Education, promoted by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change, took place last March 1, 2 and 3, on Terceira island, under the theme “Environmental Education as a pillar for sustainable development”. During the Meeting, techniques and tools for promoting actions within the school community were made known to raise awareness for preserving the existing ecosystems in the Region through lectures, field trips and practical workshops.

LIFE IP CLIMAZ displayed the video presentation of the project at this event and also participated in a round table with all the LIFE projects coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change, on “The importance of LIFE projects and Environmental Education in the restoration of ecosystems in the Azores”. During the meeting, two sessions on “Energy Efficiency in Schools” were also delivered by the Regional Directorate for Energy, an associated beneficiary of the LIFE IP CLIMAZ project.
