Unfortunately, on public roads, we still find garbage on the ground that, besides polluting our cities, ends up in nature. Protected areas, and especially endemic species, are greatly affected by this problem.

So today's tip is: we should avoid unnecessary waste, and the packaging that we need to use should be placed in the appropriate recycling bins.

As an active agent in the fight against massive waste production, the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change implemented, this year, the Deposit System for non-reusable Beverage Packaging in the Azores. This system aims to facilitate the recycling of beverage packaging, allowing it to be used again.
