Summit between the Regional Governments of the Azores and Madeira

As part of the Summit between the Regional Governments of the Azores and Madeira, which ended yesterday, the Regional Secretary for the Environment and Climate Change, Alonso Miguel, had the opportunity to visit the Integrated System for Monitoring and Alert of Natural Risks of Madeira, at the Regional Civil Engineering Laboratory, accompanied by the Regional Secretary for Equipment and Infrastructures of Madeira, Pedro Fino.

The knowledge, work accomplished and experience of the Autonomous Region of Madeira in this field will be very important to ensure greater efficiency in the implementation of the Flood Alert System in Risk Watersheds of the Azores, which will run until the end of 2023 in four risk watersheds on the islands of Pico, São Jorge, Terceira and São Miguel.
