LIFE SNAILS shows progress and plans new actions

The most recent LIFE project in the Azores has been developing in the last months, a set of technical meetings with the several beneficiaries and scientific advisors of the project, with the main goal of promoting the work developed in the various areas of intervention and exchanging views on how to boost the success of conservation actions.

We highlight the progress in installing a nursery specialised in producing native plants on the island of Santa Maria and the monitoring and planning of the execution of the technical actions and preparatory work related to the project.

This project, coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change, also carried out a detailed approach to the ecological monitoring methods to be implemented and the preparation of field actions to develop in the short and medium term.
