Sustainable Gastronomy Day

On this Sustainable Gastronomy Day, the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change recalls the "Fight Food Waste in the Azores" campaign promoted last year and appeals to implementing sustainable habits in the Azoreans' kitchen.

1 – Make a list of what you need and avoid buying unnecessary things. Locally producing and consuming is essential in economic, social and environmental terms.

2 – Check what you consume through the expiration dates indicated in the products.

3 – Cook according to the necessary portions to avoid leftovers. However, if there is too much food, share with family and friends.

Being sustainable is essential for preserving the environment. Our planet is "Too good to waste!".
