LIFE IP CLIMAZ present at the “Climate Change Challenge in Insular Regions” seminar

The LIFE IP CLIMAZ management team travelled to the island of Porto Santo to present in the “Climate Change Challenge in Insular Regions” seminar, which took place in the Centro Cultural e de Congressos do Porto Santo, an organization of the LIFE DINAS project.

This international event enabled the exchange of information, both locally and internationally, with the participation of many other projects from the Azores, Madeira, Mainland Portugal, Canary Islands, Cape Verde and Spain.

The topics presented focused mainly on the problem of climate change in island regions, the current state of the art of research, environmental education, nature conservation and conciliation with touristic activities on the island of Porto Santo, as well as national and international projects interrelated with the challenges inherent to the LIFE DUNAS project.

This meeting proved to be extremely useful in disseminating the work to be developed and creating knowledge and synergies for the future between LIFE IP CLIMAZ and the other projects.
