Congratulations to the Lagoa das Sete Cidades Environmental Complex!

The Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change celebrates today the 8th anniversary of the Lagoa das Sete Cidades Environmental Complex, a relevant place for the promotion of the São Miguel Nature Park, namely of the Lagoa das Setes Cidades (lake), classified as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Portugal.

Designed by the architects Eduardo Souto Moura and Adriano Pimenta and part of the Sete Cidades Lagoon requalification project, this visitor support space is intended to be a place for the interpretation and knowledge of this area, as well as for carrying out educational activities.

Visitors will be able to obtain a variety of information about the protected areas included in the Nature Park, including walking trails, geology, flora, fauna, water resources, classified heritage, etc.
