May 18, 2022
Next 21 May is the anniversary of the LIFE Programme, and the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change, coordinator of five LIFE projects currently active in the Azores, will promote a set of regional activities.
The activities are divided into three main themes: “Let's Protect Our Species”, run by the LIFE VIDALIA and LIFE IP AZORES NATURA projects, which consists of the removal of invasive species; “Walking for Biodiversity”, run by the LIFE BEETLES and LIFE SNAILS projects, which consists of an interpretative walk to observe species and complete a field sheet; and “Discovering the Azores' Energy”, run by the LIFE IP CLIMAZ project, which consists of a visit to the Region's energy power plants.
