LIFE IP AZORES NATURA was present in the "Discover to preserve our Wetlands" activity

Feb. 7, 2022

This was a weekend filled with activities promoted by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change within World Wetlands Day and National Park Rangers Day.

Some of these activities were part of the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project, namely those on Corvo, São Jorge and Terceira, and consisted of walking trails through emblematic wetlands and fauna and flora species' observation, with a special focus on birdwatching.

In the activity that took place on Terceira, near Lagoa do Negro (lagoon), the participants counted with the presence of the Regional Secretary for the Environment and Climate Change who had “the great pleasure of accompanying our fantastic Junior Park Rangers in the initiative ‘Discover to preserve our Wetlands’, carried out under the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project”.

With the financial support of the LIFE Programme of the European Union.
