“Discover to preserve our Wetlands” activity helps to reforest the Lagoa do Caiado

To commemorate World Wetlands Day, the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change promoted an endemic species planting in one of the intervention areas of the LIFE BEETLES project on Pico island – the Lagoa do Caiado (lagoon).

We highlight the enthusiasm and dedication of the volunteers who, despite the rain, collaborated in the planting of 56 Juniperus brevifolia!
