Azores Nature Parks Guide Certification - Faial Island and Faial Caldera Guide

The Angra do Heroísmo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action and the Horta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, announces the opening of registrations for training courses for Azores Nature Parks and Faial Caldera Guides, to be held on Faial island.

 

Azores Nature Parks Guide - Faial Island

Location: Faial island – place to be defined

Date: 10 October to 15 November 2026

Time: After-work hours

Duration: 117 hours

This course includes 10 modules in the areas of tourism, natural and cultural heritage, first aid, hiking techniques, communication and interpretation of the heritage, and preparing participants to work in protected natural areas.

 

Faial Caldera Guide

Location: Faial island – place to be defined

Date: 24 November to 6 December 2026

Time: After-work hours

This course consists of two modules — Nature Reserve and Mountain Hiking, and First Aid and Rescue — aimed at training guides in a mountain context, focusing on safety and orientation.

To attend this course, you must have:

Azores Nature Parks Guide Certification – Faial Island

or Certificate of completion of Module 10 or 12 (Island Nature Park) of the Azores Nature Parks Guide Certification – Faial Island

Medical certificate or self-declaration of physical robustness
