World Wetlands Day
Feb. 2, 2026
Over the last six years, the LIFE BEETLES project has contributed significantly to the preservation of wetlands, making a clear commitment to biodiversity conservation.
LIFE BEETLES aimed to improve the quality and functionality of habitats, directly benefiting three endemic species of beetles.
As arthropods essential to the functioning of these ecosystems, beetles play a crucial role in their ecological balance, acting as indicators of environmental quality, decomposers, pollinators and a source of food for various species.
