LIFE IP CLIMAZ visits Ribeira da Tondela

Last November, an outreach event was held in Ribeira da Tondela, a parish in Matriz, Ribeira Grande municipality, as part of sub-action C5.3 of the LIFE CLIMAZ project – Ecosystem-based Solutions to tackle Extreme Climate Change.

The initiative was organised by the Regional Directorate for the Environment and Climate Action and attended by employees of the Municipal Councils of Ribeira Grande, Ponta Delgada and Povoação, as well as the Mayor of Ribeira Grande, Jaime Vieira, and the President of the Matriz Parish Council, André Mendonça.

The main objective of the action was to raise awareness of practical, sustainable solutions to mitigate the impacts of climate change and to promote collaboration and coordination between local and regional entities.
