LIFE IP AZORES NATURA and LIFE IP CLIMAZ projects participate in the Graciosa Nature Park Advisory Board

The LIFE IP AZORES NATURA and LIFE IP CLIMAZ projects, coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action, were represented at the Graciosa Nature Park Advisory Board, as part of their stakeholder engagement activities, through the Stakeholder Board of both projects.

LIFE IP AZORES NATURA presented the latest developments in its interventions on the island of Graciosa, with particular emphasis on the actions carried out on the Ilhéu de Baixo and Ilhéu da Praia. One of the main focuses was the installation of new artificial nests on the Ilhéu da Praia, designed to improve thermal insulation and mitigate the effects of climate change, contributing to the conservation of the seabirds that nest there.

LIFE IP CLIMAZ, in turn, focused its presentation on the second campaign to provide free water heaters to the inhabitants of Graciosa, promoting energy efficiency and the transition to more sustainable energy sources. The project announced the creation of a new educational game on climate change to raise awareness in the community about the challenges of climate change mitigation and adaptation.

This participation reinforces the commitment of both projects to cooperation and involvement of the local community and regional entities in the implementation of their actions.
