LIFE IP CLIMAZ meets with LIFE LIFE Forest HabitatLT from Lithuania
Aug. 7, 2025
The LIFE IP CLIMAZ project, coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action, met last June with the LIFE Forest HabitatLT project team from Lithuania as part of the networking activities planned for LIFE projects.
Intending to share technical and management knowledge, identify common ground, and explore new possibilities for collaboration, the meeting also provided an opportunity to learn more about the LIFE Forest HabitatLT project through a presentation given by its management team. This project aims to develop and demonstrate close-to-nature forestry practices to restore and improve the conservation status of forest and peatland habitats of community importance (Natura2000) in Lithuania, which are currently in an unfavourable state of conservation.
During the meeting, the intervention of the LIFE IP CLIMAZ project was also presented, highlighting the actions underway and their contribution to adapting to climate change in the Azores.
With the financial support of the LIFE Programme of the European Union.
