Save the date: 16th Regional Meeting on Environmental Education

The 16th Regional Meeting of Environmental Education and the 31st Pedagogical Days of Environmental Education have already been set! The event will take place on the island of Faial, between 29 September and 2 October 2025, under the theme ‘Memory of the Earth: A beacon in environmental education’.

This meeting presents a unique opportunity to unite two significant events in the field of Environmental Education in Portugal: the 16th Regional Meeting of Environmental Education (EREA), a biennial event held in the Azores, and the 31st Pedagogical Days of Environmental Education (JPEA), held annually on the mainland.

This synergy aims to broaden the discussion and involvement around environmental education, providing an enriching exchange of experiences and knowledge between participants from different regions of the country.

The event is organised in partnership between the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action, the Azores UNESCO Global Geopark, ASPEA - the Portuguese Association for Environmental Education and ABAAE - the Blue Flag Association for the Environment and Education.
