LIFE SNAILS – 3rd Advisory Board Meeting
July 9, 2025
The LIFE SNAILS project, coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action, held its third annual Advisory Board Meeting, as foreseen in Action F.2 - Governance and Advisory Boards, in an online format.
The meeting was a great success, with attendance from the project team, national and international experts in the fields of nature conservation and malacology, members of the Mid-Atlantic Islands Invertebrate Specialist Group (MAIISG) and members of the IUCN.
During the session, the project was presented, emphasising the work carried out so far, the preliminary results obtained in the field and the methodologies for surveying and monitoring endemic species.
The mission of this group of advisors is to analyse and discuss, from a technical-scientific perspective, the strategies proposed and the results achieved within the scope of the conservation actions implemented.
We would like to thank all the participants for sharing their knowledge and making essential contributions to the ongoing improvement of LIFE SNAILS.
