Environment Week 2025 | 31 May to 8 June

To mark World Environment Day, the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action invites the community to participate in Environment Week, which will run from 31 May to 8 June on all the islands.

The programme includes a diverse range of activities open to the public, designed to promote environmental awareness and the active involvement of the population. Activities are also planned for school groups and organisations, thus reinforcing the role of education and civic participation in building a more sustainable future.

Environment Week has the collaboration of various partner organisations, including government bodies, NGOs and private entities, which will enrich the programme with their initiatives and contributions.

Together with the European Geoparks Week, through the promotion of educational, scientific and cultural activities, this initiative aims to enhance the unique natural heritage of the Azores and reinforce the Region's commitment to conservation and sustainability.
