Participation in the Faial Natural Park Advisory Board

The LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project, coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action, took part in the Faial Nature Park Advisory Board. During the meeting, the actions carried out by the project on this island, their state of development, and future planning were discussed.

On the island of Faial, the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project is working in an area located south of Caldeira, where a fence has been installed to exclude cattle, which significantly affects the wetland ecosystems present in the area. It is also responsible for implementing the LIFE VIDALIA project's After-LIFE plan, which aims to ensure the continuity of some conservation actions after the end of the project.

The participation of the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project in the Advisory Boards of the Nature Parks on each island is part of action F4 (Stakeholder Advisory Council) of the project. These meetings are essential for the consultants to monitor the management and implementation of the actions on each island.
