Public Session of the Management Plan for Land Areas of the São Jorge Nature Park

The Regional Secretariat for Environment and Climate Change, through the São Jorge Environment and Climate Change Service , will promote a public session, open to the population, on the process of public discussion of the Land Area Management Plan for the São Jorge Nature Park, on July 28, at 6:30 pm, in the Escola Básica e Secundária da Calheta Auditorium, in the village of Calheta.

The public discussion process runs from 30 June to 10 August 2021 and aims to gather contributions from the population for the Management Plan of Land Areas of the Natural Park of Ilha de São Jorge.
The documents that make up the plan, as well as the forms for public participation, can be accessed in person at the Environment and Climate Change Service of Ilha de São Jorge, in Relvinha - Calheta, at the headquarters of the Regional Secretariat for Environment and Climate Change, in Thin tip; or online at www.ot.azores.gov.pt

The purpose of the Management Plans for Land Areas in Natural Parks is to classify the degree of protection of protected areas, and to establish management measures aimed at the conservation or recovery of the ecological, geological, paleontological or landscape values ​​of the places, establishing conditions for this purpose. and interdictions that may prevent damage or prejudice to these same values.
