Launch of the ‘InovAção Climática’ contest

We’re about a week away from the ‘InovAção Climática’ contest opening!

This contest covers original or innovative ideas for projects, products or services that represent solutions or improvements to meet the challenges of climate change in the Autonomous Region of the Azores, in the fields of knowledge, mitigation, adaptation and governance, focusing in particular on the following thematic areas:

> Energy production and consumption;

> Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions;

> Carbon capture or retention;

> Efficient use of natural resources;

> Territorial adaptation and resilience;

> Risk prevention and management;

> Nature-based solutions;

> Ecosystem conservation and restoration;

> Ecosystem services;

> People and property safety;

> Education, training and awareness-raising.

The application period runs from 4 December 2024 to 23 February 2025, using the digital form available on the electronic platform www.inovacaoclimatica.com.
