Public Session of the Management Plan for Land Areas of the Terceira Nature Park

The Regional Secretariat for Environment and Climate Change will promote a public session, open to the population, regarding the process of public discussion of the Land Area Management Plan of the Terceira Nature Park, on July 26, at 6 pm at the Luís da Silva Ribeiro Public Library and Regional Archive, in Angra do Heroísmo. Due to COVID-19, prior registration will be required, until 12:00 on July 26, to the following e-mail address: [email protected].

The public discussion process takes place from June 30th to August 10th, 2021 and aims to gather contributions from the population for the Management Plan of Land Areas of the Terceira Nature Park.

The documents that make up the plan, as well as the forms for public participation, can be accessed in person at the Terceira Environment and Climate Change Service, in Angra do Heroísmo, at the headquarters of the Regional Secretariat for Environment and Climate Change, in Ponta Delgada ; or online at www.ot.azores.gov.pt

The purpose of the Management Plans for Land Areas in Nature Parks is to classify the degree of protection of protected areas, and to establish management measures aimed at the conservation or recovery of the ecological, geological, paleontological or landscape values ​​of the places, establishing conditions for this purpose. and interdictions that may prevent damage or prejudice to these same values.
