LIFE SNAILS – Interview with Asas do Atlântico radio station

The LIFE SNAILS project management team, coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action, and the scientific advisor Professor Dr Frias Martins recently gave an interview to Asas do Atlântico radio station about the ongoing habitat restoration work. During the interview, the main actions undertaken were discussed, such as the removal of invasive species, the restoration of natural areas and the strategies for monitoring endemic snail populations.

By highlighting the challenges faced and the results achieved, the importance of these efforts for the conservation of local biodiversity was emphasised. The meeting also served to inform the local community about the project's relevance and involve the public in conservation efforts.
