Public Session of the Management Plan of Land Areas of the Santa Maria Nature Park

The Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change will promote a public session related to the public discussion process of the Land Area Management Plan of the Santa Maria Nature Park, on July 26 at 20:30 in the of the Dalberto Pombo Environmental Interpretation Center auditorium , in Vila do Porto.

The public discussion process takes place from June 30th to August 10th, 2021 and aims to gather contributions from the population for the Management Plan of Land Areas of the Santa Maria Nature Park.

The documents that make up the plan, as well as the forms for the participation of the population, can be accessed in person at the Santa Maria Environment and Climate Change Service , in Vila do Porto, at the headquarters of the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change, in Ponta Delgada, or online at www.ot.azores.gov.pt.

The purpose of the Management Plans for Land Areas of Natural Parks is to classify the degree of protection of protected areas, as well as to establish management measures aimed at the conservation or recovery of the ecological, geological, paleontological or landscape values ​​of the places, establishing for this purpose conditions and prohibitions that may prevent damage or prejudice to these same values.
