Congratulations to the Graciosa Biosphere Reserve!

The island of Graciosa was classified as a ‘Biosphere Reserve’ 17 years ago!

To mark this date, the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action recalls the documentary ‘Portugal Biosphere Reserves’, which RTP 3 broadcasted in March 2024.

To celebrate this date, a peddy paper will be organised for the Graciosa Primary and Secondary School students on 20 September, in Fontes Pereira de Melo square.

This activity is part of the 10th edition of the European Week of Sport, which is organized in partnership between the Graciosa Island Sports Department and the Graciosa Environment and Climate Change Department.
