The Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change invites you to the launch of the book Macaronesia: Naturaleza, historias y leyendas, by Francisco García-Talavera Casañas, which will be presented next Saturday in the Dalberto Pombo Environmental Interpretation Center auditorium.

Passionate about studying the past of the Macaronesian archipelagos, the author devoted part of his time to the study of the origin, ethnography and relations between these Atlantic islands, a large part of which are reflected in this work.

With the book in hand, the reader will delve into its origins, geography and history, while discovering some of the legends and remarkable feats that took place in these “Atlantic Islands”, being surprised by their unique nature and biodiversity. Numerous color images enrich this edition and contribute to a better understanding of the volcanic archipelagos that make up this mythical region.
